Five Great Things Teachers Do (That You Can Copy at Home)

A free 20-minute online workshop for parents of teenagers: the simple teacher habits that make homework calmer.

Free · Online · 20 minutes Wednesday 2 December 2026 · 7:00–7:30pm

Led by Jenny New, founder of BrightBerry, qualified teacher and former school leader

Who is this for?

Have you ever wondered how a great teacher can get 30 children working, yet it's a struggle just to get your one child to start their homework? Then this workshop is for you.

It's for parents of teenagers, whichever subjects your child is studying. You don't need any teaching background, and you won't be asked to speak or put a camera on.

In 20 minutes you'll learn

  • How to flip the teaching pattern so homework starts without a fight.
  • How to use mistakes and choices to support learning instead of derailing it.
  • How to stay calm when it all goes wrong.

How it works

Reserve a free place on Eventbrite and you'll be emailed the joining link. Log in a minute or two before 7pm. The session runs for 20 minutes with a few minutes for questions at the end.

Can't make it live? Register anyway: every workshop is recorded and the recording is added to this page afterwards.
